Carla Harris, Morgan Stanley Managing Director, HBS Class of 1987 and A.B. 1984 speaks about her new book. A special pre-event reception will be held for HBSWANY Charter/Chairwomen Circle members.

   

Carla Harris, 20 year veteran of Wall Street, HBS Class of 1987, will talk about "Carla's Pearls" compiled in her book "Expect to Win: Proven Strategies for Success from a Wall Street Vet". Knowledge and hard work are very often not enough to climb  corporate ladders. This conversation will focus on the key tools to maximizing your professional success. Carla Harris is a Managing Director in the Strategic Client Group at Morgan Stanley Investment Management .  She formerly headed the equity capital markets effort for the Consumer and Retail industries and was responsible for Equity Private Placements.  In her other life, Carla is a singer, and has released her second CD, a gospel album entitled, Joy is Waiting, which has been featured on BET Nightly News. Her first CD entitled, “Carla’s First Christmas”, was a bestseller on Amazon.com in New York and in record stores, and  was featured on the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather in his “American Dream” segment. A special pre-event reception and meeting with the speaker will be held for Charter and Chairwomen Circle members of the HBSWANY club.
