Join us for a lunch discussion with HBS alum and Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive of Silver Lake , Glenn Hutchins. Glenn will review events leading to the “The Panic of ’08,” which triggered the recent global recession, and he will explore the implications of the crisis for the US and world economies. He will also discuss the imperative role that entrepreneurship and innovation will play in stimulating growth.
Glenn is a Founder and Co-Chief Executive of Silver Lake , the leader in large private investments in technology, technology-enabled, and related growth industries. Silver Lake seeks to achieve superior financial returns by investing with the strategic and operating insights of an experienced industry participant.
Glenn is Chairman of the Board of SunGard Data Systems and a director of NASDAQ. He is a co-owner and Member of the Executive Committee of the 2008 NBA World Champion Boston Celtics.
Glenn is active in public and charitable service. He served President Clinton in both the transition and the White House as a Special Advisor on economic and healthcare policy. He is a director of the Harvard Management Company, which is responsible for the management of the University’s endowment, and Chair of the National Advisory Board of the W.E.B DuBois Institute at Harvard. He is a trustee of the Lawrenceville School , the Brookings Institution and the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of the Hamilton Project, a Director of the Partnership for New York City , and a member of the Investors Advisory Committee on Financial Markets of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York .
Glenn holds an A.B. from Harvard College , an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School , and a J.D. from Harvard Law School .
