Even though you "have it all", is there still something missing?
Lucy S. Danziger, editor-in-chief of SELF magazine, and women’s mental health psychiatrist Catherine Birndorf, MD, founder of Payne Whitney’s Women’s Mental Health Center, will discuss their research findings from their book, The Nine Rooms of Happiness: Loving yourself, Finding Your Purpose, and Getting Over Life’s Little Imperfections. Women always want to learn how to better deal with the conflict and emotional stress in their daily lives, as a result of all the competing demands on their time, including career, family and a rewarding personal life.
The authors have been traveling around the country to meet with women’s groups to discuss the issues that affect happiness in the daily lives of women in a way that is both interactive and illuminating. The book uses the metaphor of a house to help women compartmentalize the conflicts and issues that steal our happiness from day to day, even when things seem to be going right. By helping women clean up their emotional “mess of the day,” the authors have made it possible for women to evaluate their own patterns of behavior, decide what needs changing and then reassess the issue with a new strategy, called a “key process,” which is discussed in the book.
Due to the high demand and capacity restraints of this event, attendance must be limited to the alumnae of Harvard Business School.
